​Dr. Jjenna Andrews will be giving a talk as a part of Hispanic Heritage Month events. The topic will be:

Afro-Latina and Afro-Latenx (Women and LGBTQ) Artists such as Jasmin Hernandez, Clara Ledesma, Zahira Kelly, Favianna Rodrigues, Magdalena Albizu, Ariana Brown, Amara La Negra, Lucia Mendez, 
and Scherezade Garcia and how these strong women incorporate their cultures into their art as well as use their art to challenge stereotypes, assert their identity as strong women, and address issues of social justice.

The talk is free and open to the public. September 23, 2019
